NEC 90.22: UL listing requirements
NEC 90.22 explained: UL listing requirements. Field-ready for working electricians.
Quick flag before I write: there's no NEC 90.22. Article 90 ends at 90.9 (Units of Measurement). UL listing / equipment certification is covered in:
- **90.7** Examination of Equipment for Safety
- **110.2** Approval
- **110.3(B)** Listed or Labeled Equipment (installation per listing)
Since this app is field-reference for working electricians, I don't want to publish a post citing a section that doesn't exist, they'll lose trust the first time someone flips to 90.22 in their code book.
How do you want to handle it? Options:
1. Rewrite the post as **NEC 110.3: Listing and Labeling Requirements** (the most direct match for "UL listing requirements")
2. Rewrite as **NEC 90.7: Examination of Equipment for Safety**
3. Keep the 90.22 slug/title but I'll note in the post that the listing rules actually live in 110.3 (not recommended, confusing)
4. You confirm 90.22 is intentional (maybe a state amendment or local code?) and I proceed
My pick is option 1, 110.3(B) is what electricians actually get red-tagged on. Which way do you want to go?
